Summary
The candidate will be responsible and accountable for the overall site management including assembly works, service support to the customer and of the Maintenance Contract that have to be maintained in high performance.
What will be your responsibilities?
1. Understand the service agreement:
- Invoicing process
- Be the daily representative of BIA
- Manage Service contract
- Be aware of mining operations and customer priorities.
2. People Management:
- Ensure compliance with the Company Policies and Procedures
- Manage the Industrial Relations
- Ensure firm, fair and consistent discipline
- Ensure training program delivery
- Ensure compliance with the recruitment and selection procedure
- Drive the workers’ committee meetings
- Work with Project Manager towards an improvement of the site rotation of its personnel
- Manage the on-site HR Coordinator where applicable
- Apply the camp rules/housing policies where applicable
3. Manage the Maintenance activity:
- Manage the Planning (equipment, parts and service) and ensure the planning is accurate and up to date
- Ensure the follow-up of the equipment SMR
- Failure Analysis (frequency, MTBF, etc.) and propose improvement plan.
- Make sure the Fleet availability is achieved where possible at all times.
- Ensure the application of the BIA Maintenance Systems – no deviations allowed
- Carry out monthly inspections of all equipment in cooperation with the relevant Fleet Managers
- Carry out ad hoc inspections of all service equipment inclusive of work quality
- Monitor / manage non-conformities daily
4. Manage the warranty and field campaigns:
- Handle all communications with Product support, repair facilities, customer.
- Ensure to receive and share correct, accurate and timely information to support warranty claims
- Produce in due time all failure reports and/or OEM technical reports (TSI).
- Recover all costs towards OEM’s/Insurance
5. QHSE:
- Identifies and records any health, safety and environmental issues.
- Initiates, provides and recommends solutions through clearly defined channels.
- Ensures implementation of solutions.
- Appoints the HSE managers for each site or Bac, in agreement with the HSE Management and the Project Manager if necessary.
- Define with the Project Manager resources related to HSE requirements.
- Validates a HSE training plan on the Site or the BAC as required.
- Transmits or ensures the transmission of the HSE data in the form of a report as well as the statistics and KPI requested by the HSE management.
- Ensures that hazard identification and risk assessment of the site is completed and that an action plan with the pilots and the dates of implementation are derived from it.
- Ensures the closure of the HSE actions according to the different plans put in place.
- Disseminates and enforces BIA Africa's HSE policy.
- Implements all BIA Africa HSE procedures and consequently the associated actions.
- Be accountable for safe working conditions and staff security on site.
- Promotes and develops on its site or BAC continuous improvement and opportunities for improvement in HSE.
- Initiates required medical or emergency evacuations, in collaboration with the client, the Project Manager and the relevant HR departments (site and HUB).
- Attends the mandatory HSE meeting or at the request of the HSE Management if necessary.
- Attend any "major" accident or incident investigation.
- Creates and implements SOPs according to the needs of the Site or the BAC concerned.
- Ensures SOP awareness, understanding and application through the entire staff.
Who are we looking for?
- Hold a higher technical diploma (mechanical, electromechanical or other);
- Have proven management experience as a Site Manager or equivalent
- Have a successful first experience in Africa
- Have computer knowledge (Microsoft office) Knowledge of an ERP is a plus)
- Working language: French and English
