Summary

Reporting to the CRC / Workshop Manager, the Workshop Supervisor supervises and coordinates the daily technical activities of the workshop team to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality component rebuild operations in accordance with OEM standards and BIA procedures.

The role ensures effective execution of workshop operations by managing technicians, supporting production planning execution, and coordinating with planning, quality and parts functions.

When the CRC / Workshop Manager is absent, the Workshop Supervisor acts as the operational coordinator and point of contact for workshop activities.

What will be your responsibilities?

Workshop Operations Supervision:

• Supervise the daily activities of foremen, senior technicians and technicians.
• Ensure rebuild work quality according to OEM (Komatsu) standards.
• Organize workload to ensure optimal utilization of manpower.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to technicians.
• Ensure rebuild documentation including assessment, inspection and assembly reports.

Coordination of Workshop Activities:

• Coordinate activities with the Workshop Production Manager, Planner and QAQC Manager.
• Follow up job progress and communicate priorities to the workshop team.
• Monitor parts availability and escalate shortages.
• Participate in production meetings and communicate operational priorities.

Production Execution and Planning Support:

• Ensure effective execution of the production plan defined by the Workshop Production Manager.
• Monitor manpower allocation and job progress.
• Ensure work orders are properly followed and updated in SAP.
• Maintain traceability of rebuild activities and WIP status.

Quality and Technical Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to OEM rebuild standards and internal procedures.
• Coordinate with QAQC Manager for inspections and quality processes.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions when required.

Health Safety and Environment:

• Promote safe working practices and enforce HSE procedures.
• Identify safety risks and ensure correct use of tools and equipment.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Coach and support technicians to improve technical skills.
• Identify training needs in collaboration with HR and management.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new technicians.

Who are we looking for?

Experience and Education

• Bachelor or master’s in mechanical, industrial engineering or related technical field
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in heavy equipment component rebuild workshop
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Experience supervising technical teams

Technical Skills

• Troubleshooting and technical diagnostics
• Ability to read technical manuals
• Good knowledge of workshop tooling and rebuild equipment
• Good knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP systems
• Strong IT skills: MS Office (advanced Excel), diagnostic tools
