Deputy Project & Contract Manager

Inleiding

 

BIA Group is active in the sales, rentals and after-sales services of equipment intended for public works, mines, quarries and transport. BIA is present in Europe, Africa and Asia and has more than 1400 enthusiastic employee.

 

Overzicht

 

This function aims to handle, structure, organize, follow up and develop the given Aftermarket mining project(s), and to promote new contracts fully complying with the Group Strategy, under the management of the Project Manager. The position is based in Zambia (Solwezi and Kalumbila Mine Site based on business needs).

 

Welke verantwoordelijkheden heb je?

 

Manage and follow up on given projects:

  • Resource allocation.
  • Resource management.
  • Day-to-day activities on site.
  • Lead all project related reporting, meetings and presentations.
  • Ensure the Contractual commitments are respected toward the Client(s) while defending BIA’s interests and the Company’s strategy.
  • Project deliverables:
    • Profit and Loss.
    • Parts and service turnover.
    • Invoicing.
    • Warrantee / Core return / Work in Progress
    • Risk register & Opportunity log.
    • Project plan.
    • Inventory management.
    • Safety management.
    • Reporting of equipment performance.
  • Support Project Manager:
    • Gathering data for and the arrangements for Joiful Meetings on site.
    • Gathering data for project review meetings.
    • Management of visitors to site.
    • Relieve as Project Manager and Site Manager as needed across all sites

KPI'S:

  • Develop and ensure a good level of relationships with their client
  • Analyze the needs and proposing accurate solutions by putting in place solutions consistent with a technical
  • Gathering data for project review meetings.
  • Management of visitors to site.
  • Analyze the needs and proposing accurate solutions by putting in place solutions consistent with a technical support including parts sales, services and training;
  • Identify development opportunities and report them to their hierarchy.
  • Ensure the profit from the given projects (P&L).
  • Identify, follow up on actions leading to improvement of the margin of the different projects.
  • Participate to the identification and mitigation of the risks related to their given projects.
  • Will ensure their given teams on sites are fully compliant with the HSE system and policies from the BIA Group.
  • Will behave as an example and always comply regarding safety rules.
  • Will organize in relation with their entitled HSE officer meetings and follow up on incidents.
  • Will be responsible for the safety of their teams.

 

Wie zoeken wij?

 

Education and Qualifications 

  • Hold a university degree as an engineer or equivalent experience.
  • Project management certification, PMP certified is a plus.

 

Experience 

  • 3 years of experience desired in a technical department, with Customer experience.
  • 1 year of project management experience.
  • Previous Mine / Site experience will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience on Komatsu mining equipment.
