Summary
We’re on the lookout for a sharp, dynamic Senior HR & Payroll Officer to help us elevate our HR and payroll operations.
In this role, you’ll be a key player supporting our Shared Service Centre in HR, Payroll, Resource Planning and Expat Management, bringing not just expertise, but ideas, initiative, and a passion for getting things right.

What will be your responsibilities?
Payroll
- Provide effective and efficient support to HR to ensure smooth running of the payroll of the various countries (Mainly Africa & Belgium) including Mauritius
- Ensure that the payroll calendar deadlines are adhered to, and all payments are done on time
- Process payroll (enter data - benefits and deductions) and update payroll records
- Compile, monitor, verify and reconcile all financial data for the payroll
- Ensure accuracy of payroll master data
- Prepare bank payment instructions and obtain approval from designated signatories
- Send payment transfers and reports to bank
- Ensure salary advices are issued to all our employees across all regions
- Support/Assist external auditors with rationale and relevant documents
- Prepare/Process monthly filing within the time frame
- Prepare Financial and Operational reporting as needed
Human Resources
- Maintain accurate data in SAP HR of the various countries
- Maintain employees' personal files according to policy and legal requirements
- Ensure all contracts of employment and job descriptions are duly up to date
- On boarding, off boarding and induction of employees
- HR Reporting as and when needed
Other cognate duties (not limited to)
- Resource Planning/ Project Staffing
- Expat Management
Who are we looking for?
- Degree or Master in Human Resource Management, or equivalent
- At least 8 years’ of working experience in Payroll and HR Administration
- Fluent in French and English (Spoken and written)
- Coaching & mentoring skills
- International payroll expertise is a definite advantage (African Payroll is a plus)
- Knowledge of payroll software (Popay Software is nice-to-have)
- Ability to juggle with different payroll processing
