Summary

Purpose of the job.

• Provide technical expertise in the definition, review, and enhancement of business processes, data flows, and functional requirements to support business and reporting needs.
• Design, develop, and develop BI solutions (data warehousing platforms, reporting tools, and other related technologies) on BIASAPS systems in line with the operational requirements of all BIA entities and approved specifications, while supporting business objectives and ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of BI services.
• Apply and maintain relevant processes, procedures, work instructions, and technical specifications in compliance with defined quality standards and internal governance requirements.
• Develop knowledge of relevant tools and technologies to support continuous improvement and ongoing enhancement of BI services within the BIA organization.

What will be your responsibilities?

1. BI-Related Tasks (Project Mode) – On Time, In Full

• Analyse business requirements to deliver data warehousing, lakehouse, and reporting solutions based on approved specifications.
• Collaborate with functional teams and Data Stewards through workshops and discussions to gather, clarify, and validate requirements and define appropriate solutions.
• Provide effort estimates and target delivery dates for BI reporting requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement optimized BI reporting solutions in line with business needs and BI best practices.
• Deploy reports and BI deliverables on the appropriate portals and platforms.
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications for new or enhanced BI solutions in compliance with quality standards.
• Review estimates as needed and escalate planning risks or constraints in a timely manner during the development lifecycle.

2. BI-Related Tasks (Maintenance Mode)

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents affecting BI systems to ensure continuity and reliability of reporting services.
• Liaise with functional teams and Data Stewards, where necessary, to clarify issues and support effective resolution.
• Maintain, correct, and enhance BI reports in accordance with established best practices and approved standards.
• Contribute to maintaining an efficient and optimized BI reporting architecture.
• Support the review and optimization of process chain schedules to ensure smooth and reliable operations.
• Monitor data flows and take the necessary corrective actions as required to maintain service continuity.
• Ensure that relevant processes, procedures, and work instructions are maintained and applied in line with defined quality standards.
• Perform planned data load activities as required to support business and reporting operations.

3. Follow and Improve BI Processes

• Follow set-up processes and assist in improving them.
• Follow established methodologies during system development and ensure systems adhere to the standards and procedures established by the IT department.
• Develop and maintain all system related processes, procedures, checklists, work instructions and specifications as per Quality standards for assigned tasks.
• Customer focus - Identify areas for continuous improvements & implement corrective & preventive solutions.
• Respect and apply the processes to ensure the security of data and compliance with ITIL standards.

4. Any other cognate duties

Who are we looking for?

• Degree in IT related fields
• Fluent in French and English both oral and written
• At least 3 years’ relevant working experience on BI Development
• Strong functional & technical experience any BI tool being used at BIA (Datasphere, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and any BI tool)
• Good knowledge of the business processes in the SAP environment.
