Inleiding

BIA Group is active in the sales, rentals and after-sales services of equipment intended for public works, mines, quarries and transport. The Group operates in Europe, Africa and Asia and has more than 1300 enthusiastic employees.

Overzicht

This position reports to the Country manager and reporting at the functional level to the Regional HSE manager HUB, the role of the function is to implement the HSE policy of BIA Africa, and the HSE system on all BIA mining sites and workshops present in the country.

Welke verantwoordelijkheden heb je?

1.Risk assessment

• Keep hazard identifications and risk assessments up to date, twice a year for the first and second semesters.
• Guarantee that the controls put in place to reduce the risks are coherent, necessary and sufficient.
• Be responsible for the quality of risk analyses of specific activities for each site.
• Ensure that the results of the risk assessment are done.

2.Regulatory monitoring

• Ensure the identification of regulatory texts and any other imposition applicable to HSE activities in the country.
• Periodically verify compliance with legal and other applicable requirements.
• Implement the necessary actions to comply with legal requirements.

3.Training

• Develop a relevant HSE training grid according to the categories of workers, integrating the notion of periodicity.
• Provide HSE awareness and training.
• Preparing newly arrived employees on the various sites – workshops.
• Ensure the implementation of the training program on each entity and do a monthly follow-up.

4.HSE system

• Ensure that JHAs for non-routine activities are developed and control measures implemented before the start of the activity.
• Develop with the site team the SOPs for all risky activities.
• Ensure the periodic review of SOPs.

5.Reporting

• Complete reports for each site.
• Analyze KPIs and propose improvement actions.
• Send weekly HSE reports to the Regional HSE manager.

Wie zoeken wij?

• Fluency in English including technical side 
• Microsoft office
• Internet
• Intranet
• At least 5 years experience in mining and/or construction
• Multi-project management experience
• Managerial experience on construction sites at least 3 years
• Travel from site to site most of the time
• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 standards
