Summary
The Country Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth in equipment sales by strategically managing customer portfolios and expanding market share within the assigned territory. Through strong customer relationships, building trust and innovation, they position BIA as the preferred partner. The Country Sales Manager is also responsible for identifying future business opportunities, analyze market trends, and implement growth-focused sales & marketing strategies. Additionally, he/she builds and leads a high-performing sales organization capable of meeting evolving customer needs and delivering sustainable commercial success.
What will be your responsibilities?
1. Develop continuous prospecting strategy
• Lead prospection of the designated market in collaboration with local sales teams
• Develop the client portfolio
• Provide a monthly report on developments in designated territory
• Explore new business prospects with existing customers
• Analyse and report on competitors' markets, their products, and commercial offers (including sharing with the team)
2. Maintain & enhance customer care strategy
• Drive the sales & marketing strategies defined for each Business Unit
• Cultivate and improve customer relations
• Regularly visit customers on-site and/or at their HQ
• Develop and maintain customer records on the CRM
• Develop a Cross-Functional Team to ensure cross-departmental collaboration
• Supervise the offers of Sales Representatives/Account Managers
3. Drive Sales Performance
• Achieve & maximize market share, profitability, and revenue growth targets through KPI achievement
• Carry out and negotiate equipment offers with customers
• Supervise and control orders
• Ensure that the rules related to financing and control of financial and legal risks established by BIA Group are respected
4. Strengthen Product Expertise
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of manufacturers' equipment to respond effectively to customers' needs
• Ensure effective distribution of information to the sales representatives to support continuous learning and sales excellence
5. Deliver Insightful Reporting
• Maintain an updated and accurate Mapping of designated territory
• Establish and regularly follow up on the Order Book, which includes the different offers: in progress, missed, etc.
• Prepare reports on the status of customers and activities and rolling forecast of sales
• Prepare Business Performance Review Meetings & other key sales meetings as needed
6. Drive Team Excellence
• Foster close collaboration with operations to take decisive action and support team decision-making when needed.
• Talent Acquisition and Team Building: recruit the right people and forming a cohesive, high-performing sales team aligned with business goals
• Coaching, Mentoring, and Performance Management: empower team capabilities through regular feedback, personalized growth plans, and performance reviews
• Motivation and Engagement: create a positive, inclusive culture that fosters ownership, collaboration, and sustained motivation
• Succession Planning and Career Development: identify growth potentials and provide clear paths for advancement to ensure long-term team strength
Who are we looking for?
- University education or equivalent experience (Sales, Marketing, Engineering field etc.)
- Minimum 5 years is equivalent position in an industrial sector
- Knowledge of the Mining / BTP sector is a plus
- Good Knowledge Finance principles, Financing Solutions & Incoterms are required
- Experience in international organizations is a plus
- French and English (any other language is a plus)
- Experience in national or international organizations with subsidiaries is a plus
- Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
