Summary

 

This function aims to manage, structure, organize, follow up and develop the given After Sales mining project(s), and to elaborate new contracts fully complying with the Group Strategy.

What will be your responsibilities?

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure the Contract commitments are respected toward the Client(s) while defending the BIA interests and the Company’s strategy
  • To visit and follow up the BIA’s teams on site on a regular basis
  • Champion Follow up meeting on sites with the teams
  • Organize and hold OEM Meetings on site
  • Elaborate and lead the project review meetings regarding their activities
  • To inform immediately their n+1 regarding any risks or observed deviations related to one or all the given projects, elaborate and follow up the associated corrective action plans
  • Define and set up all human and material needs which are necessary to the right management of their project(s)
  • Develop a specific knowledge about the Komatsu products (parts, equipment, logistics, project team, training…) 
  • Elaborate, analyze and follow up the operational reporting of their given Project(s) in a very close relationship with the collaborators and the hierarchy
  • Ensure proper hand-over with his/her back-up

 

Commercial (By collaborating with Operations Project Manager or the AFS Business Development Manager):

 

  • Develop and ensure a good level of relationships with their clients and suppliers
  • Analyze the needs and proposing accurate solutions by putting in place solutions consistent with a technical support including parts sales, services and training; Identify development opportunities and report them to their hierarchy (Operations project manager as functional and their n+1); elaborate an action plan to achieve them
  • Will be trained and will participate to the commercial studies lead by the project Engineers (sales) by giving all relevant information necessary to develop the technical offer; they will assist to the commercial negotiations
  • Lead with their hierarchy the commercial discussions with their Client from the Contract perspective while complying to the rules of the Finance Department
  • Participate to the selection and development of new relations with partners in order to subcontract all activities which would not be relevant toward the core business of BIA

 

Finance:

 

  • Ensure the profit from the given projects (P&L)
  • Identify, follow up on actions leading to improvement of the margin of the different projects
  • Ensure the claims are achieved and the field campaigns are done with the OEM’s/insurance/Client
  • Participate to the identification and mitigation of the risks related to their given project(s)
  • Will participate to the development, analysis and follow up of the economical/financial reporting related to their given projects, based on a solid bilateral communication with their entitled finance controller
  • Will be trained to build, and defend their investment/funding requests related to their project(s) toward the Finance Department

 

QHSE:

 

  • Ensure their given teams on sites are fully compliant with the QHSE system and policies from the BIA Group
  • Behave as an example and fully comply at all times regarding safety rules
  • Organize in relation with their entitled HSE officer meetings and follow up on incidents
  • Responsible for the safety of their collaborators

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Holder of a higher University Diploma in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Above 5 years' experience in Mining Industry
  • French and English (any other language is a plus)
  • Project Management experience (e.g., IT, department restructuring, implementation of major projects, etc.)
  • Experience of international organizations with subsidiaries
  • Operations, Process, and QHSE focus
  • People Management skills
  • Relevant experience of Priority Management
