Inleiding

BIA Group is active in the sales, rentals and after-sales services of equipment intended for public works, mines, quarries and transport. The Group operates in Europe, Africa and Asia and has more than 1300 enthusiastic employees.
    

Overzicht

Attached to a mine site, the goal is to ensure good working performance and conditions of the fleet of equipment’s executing the maintenance policy and procedures of BIA and Manufacturers.

Welke verantwoordelijkheden heb je?

1.HSE:
Individual
•Do toolbox talks on regular basis
•Have an advanced understanding of safety policies and procedures by participating in updating risk assessments and creating accurate SOP’s
•Take accountability for those under direct responsibility regarding safety compliance
•Ensure that all employees under his responsibility wear their PPE and use the right tools / equipment for the task and take care of it (Maximization of service life and performance)
•Increase awareness of their staff to risk analysis before every activity
•Define needs of HSE training of staff and make sure they actively participate to the organized training sessions +report to Fleet managers
For the individual and team under direct supervision
•TAKE 5 for person under his direction to be completed accurately for every tasks
•Use JSEA and SOP’s (Standard operation procedure) as per instruction and policy
 

2.OPERATIONS
•Perform over inspections, participate in preventive maintenance operations, troubleshooting and repairs on the mining equipment under contract (SLA or RAMP) to ensure machines contractual availability
•To guarantee the good quality of technical diagnostics and interventions on the machines, following OEM’s guidelines
•Coordinate Supervisors and their team: organize work, dispatch staffs and optimize their utilization rate
•Report technical data from respective teams to hierarchy

3.PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
•Performance management process: the ability to perform effective, realistic and accurate information within the PMP process. Take ownership and accountability by respecting guidelines and PMP cycle deadlines for completion (objective settings, mid-year review, end of year evaluation)  
•Developing knowledge/coaching: raise competences of team members technically as well as soft skills (e.g. communication) by providing on the job coaching and or effective feedback
•Receive and give correct, specific, accurate and clear instructions.

4.REPORTING
•Respect functional hierarchy and use the proper and understood channels of communication
•Immediately report defective tooling and support equipment to fleet manager and tool store controller
•Compile end of shift handover documents ensuring details are accurate and distributed as required
•Work orders are accurate and detailed in description and submitted before end of shift for sign off by manager
•As required or delegated, Assistant Fleet needs to ensure machine hours are recorded per shift
•As delegated or required, compile reports to assist other department's requirements

Wie zoeken wij?

  • Languages : French and ideally English (good knowledge of the second language required)
  • Experience in mining (or at least in construction ) for minimum 3 years required
  • Having minimum 5 years experience in a Supervisor position
