Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day management of warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient and accurate receiving, storage, inventory control and delivery of materials, spare parts and equipment.

The role leads the warehouse team, ensures stock accuracy and process compliance, drives operational performance and continuous improvement, and maintains a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction.


 

What will be your responsibilities?

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, issuing and delivery of materials, spare parts and equipment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate Goods Receipt and inventory transactions in SAP.
  • Maintain high inventory accuracy between physical stock and system records.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and optimize warehouse occupancy and layout.
  • Organize inbound and outbound activities according to operational priorities and planning.
  • Ensure proper identification, labelling, storage and traceability of materials.
  • Manage bonded stock and related processes where applicable.
  • Ensure swift resolution of inbound and outbound discrepancies and operational issues.

 

Inventory Control & Quality

  • Plan and supervise cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
  • Analyze stock variances, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure quality checks are performed during receiving, storage and dispatch.
  • Manage damaged, obsolete and non-conforming materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitor inventory performance and proactively identify risks affecting stock accuracy or availability.

 

Team Management

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse officers and material handlers.
  • Allocate resources and daily tasks according to operational workload and priorities.
  • Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.
  • Identify training and development needs and support employee development.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, discipline and a strong customer-focused culture.

 

HSSE & 5S

  • Ensure full compliance with HSSE requirements for employees, contractors, drivers and visitors.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment and machinery are operated safely and correctly.
  • Report and follow up on incidents, unsafe conditions and potential hazards.
  • Implement and sustain 5S standards across warehouse and yard areas.
  • Lead and support 5S audits and ensure timely closure of identified gaps.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized warehouse environment.

 

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Align operational requirements and expectations with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Proactively communicate operational constraints, risks and proposed solutions.
  • Provide timely and relevant information to customer-facing teams.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and other departments to ensure smooth execution of warehouse activities.

 

Reporting, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide accurate weekly warehouse performance reports to Management.
  • Ensure warehouse data and documentation are properly maintained on SharePoint.
  • Monitor compliance with warehouse SOPs, processes and internal controls.
  • Analyze operational data and provide actionable insights to Management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse productivity, stock accuracy, safety and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and contribute to Supply Chain continuous improvement initiatives.

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience managing warehouse and inventory operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse processes.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems; SAP experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in spare parts, equipment, industrial or mining logistics would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of bonded warehouse operations would be an advantage.
