Summary

The Aftermarket Manager drives operational excellence across BIA's service operations by defining and implementing standards for infrastructure, processes, tooling, and performance management. Working closely with all BIA entities, the role ensures efficient, profitable, and customer-focused service delivery across workshops, CRCs, mining sites, and field operations. 

What will be your responsibilities?

  1. Describe and enhance states-of-the-art workshop guidelines while coordinating their implementation
    •  Define & coordinate workshop infrastructure set-up to meet OEM, customer, and BIA’s needs and requirements
    •  By centralizing experience, be the primary POC for service operation by mastering and sharing technical know-how
    •  Support 5S implementation across BIA’s workshop with QHSE and local Service Managers
    •  Lead definition, implementation & control of Contamination Control Standard
    •  Lead LEAN approach to improve service operation efficiency and profitability
    •  Support new facility infrastructure definition

  2. Define, standardize & implement service operational KPI to achieve BIA’s objectives
    • Define and standardize KPI specification based on aftermarket business need
    • Coordinate KPI set-up based on data availability to deliver robust metrics that integrate operational constraints
    • Drive KPI implementation and support local entity to pilot aftermarket activities in reaching BIA’s targets
    •  As BIA’s lighthouse, set-up the implementation of Standard toolbox dashboard aligned with specific local KPI

  3. Lead and coordinate tooling management, standardization and calibration
    • Organize and dynamize the sharing of good practices across service operation
    • Develop & implement tooling management plan, inventory & tracking system
    • Define & set-up tooling calibration standard and coordinate its implementation
    • Provide guidance and assistance to tooling definition & usage

  4.  Define Standard process and supervise its implementation providing global solutions for local needs
    • Support BIA’s Training Centre in defining technical training programs
    • Define processes, tooling and service team skills to meet OEM, customer and BIA’s needs
    • Coordinate & set up standard job activities to support CRC operations and quality standards
    • Support partnership conformity standard aligned with excellence program (MAN, KRCC, PPP, ISO etc.)
    • Lead definition and update of Dealer Operating Standard for Aftermarket activities

Who are we looking for?

  • University degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 7' years experience in aftermarket management, including at least 2' years in a leadership role, preferably in the heavy equipment or construction industry; Komatsu experience a plus.
  • Fluent in French & English.
  • In-depth knowledge of parts, services and customer needs in the heavy equipment aftermarket.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Experience in inventory management, supply chain operations and sales strategies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, proficiency with SAP is a plus.
