Summary
The Supply Chain Project Engineer (Parts) supports the design, preparation, and execution of Parts Supply Chain activities for aftermarket projects, including tenders, contracts, and fleet ramp-ups.
The role focuses on analysis, coordination, data consolidation, and operational follow-up, ensuring that supply chain assumptions, plans, and commitments are realistic, executed, and continuously monitored throughout the project lifecycle
What will be your responsibilities?
Project preparation & tender support
- Support the preparation of supply chain inputs for tenders and customer projects
- Consolidate data and validate key assumptions (availability, lead times, sourcing, inventory)
- Contribute to project readiness assessments
Project execution & delivery
- Ensure the execution of supply chain activities across the full project lifecycle
- Monitor performance and ensure alignment with commitments
- Support end-to-end delivery of parts availability
- Make the link between projects and S&OP
Operational coordination during project ramp up phase
- Coordinate with procurement, planning, and logistics teams to secure all flows for the start of every project
- Ensure smooth collaboration between central and local stakeholders
- Follow up on operations and drive issue resolution
Risk & performance management
- Identify and monitor supply chain risks
- Support mitigation actions and escalation when needed
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and processes
Continuous improvement
- Contribute to the improvement of tools, processes, and SC standards for project
- Support standardisation across projects & propose adaptation/simplification
- Capture lessons learned after project completion & participate in their implementation
Who are we looking for?
Education & Qualification:
- Master degree (business or technical degree) with proven experience in in supply chain, operations, or project coordination
- Fluent in French and English, Dutch is a asset
- Strong analytical and data handling skills (Excel & SAP required)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience:
- 4–6 years of experience in parts supply chain / aftermarket or international operations
- Incoterms/ Freight forwarding /
- Transportation/Inventory strategy
- International Business experience (with Africa is a plus)
- Heavy equipment, mining and/or construction industry is definitely a plus
