Summary

 

Supported by the Rental Manager, you expand the rental business within a designated area by establishing a dedicated hub and developing a strong commercial network. You will apply high professional standards while overseeing the assigned fleet and ensuring full end‑to‑end follow‑up of the lead‑to‑invoice and back‑to‑rental cycle, both commercially and technically. You love to achieve commercial targets within established budget guidelines.

What will be your responsibilities?

 

As Rental Hub Manager, you oversee the rental hub’s daily operations, fleet, commercial activities, and budget, while serving as BIA’s rental expert. The role translates customer needs into tailored solutions and ensures accurate processes and CRM data. Responsibilities also include market analysis, fleet planning, customer visits, and preparing offers. The Rental Hub Manager represents BIA professionally and maintains high service standards.

 

In a nutshell, you:

  • Manage the rental hub’s budget, fleet and daily operations.
  • Set up and monitor rental commercial initiatives and joint action plans in collaboration with the Rental Manager, local Account Managers, and PSSRs.
  • Develop a strong commercial network and distribute rental commercial tools.
  • Act as BIA’s product and commercial rental expert for the assigned product range.
  • Translate customer technical requirements into tailored solution proposals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments (Sales & Aftermarket).
  • Ensure technical follow‑up of the hub’s fleet.

 

Your tasks in more detail as set out below.

 

Planning & Organizing 

  • Ensure an efficient and accurate lead‑to‑invoice and back‑to‑rental cycle, including:
    • Offers
    • Delivery and logistics
    • Invoicing and overdue management
    • Inspections and back-to-rental process
    • Compliance with SAP processes
    • Administrative operations
  • Rigorous and meticulous use of a shared planning tool
  • Optimize processes
  • Maintain accurate customer database records in the CRM system.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and provide accurate information.

 

Analysis & Decision-Making 

  • Analyse the installed base with the Rental Manager.
  • Stay informed about market developments.
  • Monitor and assess regional market trends.
  • Gather competitive product data.
  • Ensure timely ordering of rental machines for his/her hub.

 

Rental Hub Management 

  • Put in place and manage the Rental Hub setup (Facilities, tooling, etc.).
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the hub while maintaining the availability, reliability, and profitability of the equipment fleet.
  • Drive and enhance operational KPIs, including budget, utilization rate, financial utilization, availability, downtime and perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) calculations.
  • Oversee financial transactions and financing processes.
  • Play a central role in the sales team, ensuring strong collaboration.

 

Representation of BIA 

  • Develop and retain a local customer portfolio by actively initiating customer visits and prospecting activities.
  • Prepare offers and pricing calculations.
  • Professionally represent BIA to clients and provide expert information in person and through digital channels, including social media.
  • Represent BIA at industry events and networking meetings.
  • Maintain high-quality service standards, prioritizing a customer-friendly approach, a "first-time-right" attitude, and fast service delivery to uphold BIA’s reputation and success.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

Who are we looking for?

 

Education & Qualification

Master’s degree

 

Experience

  • Min. 5–10 years of experience in sales and sales management in construction equipment and/or capital goods.
  • Hands‑on personality with natural leadership and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoys a versatile role combining operations, commercial activities, and team management
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and experience with SAP, CRM and Visual Planning
