Summary

 

The main purpose of the function is to support and coordinate the development of parts sales in BIA's territories through:     

  • Market knowledge for OEMs and assigned customers
  • Commercial support to local entities and mining projects
  • OEM relations (commercial part).

What will be your responsibilities?

 

1. Market knowledge

  • Proactively analyze the market potential, existing customers and competition, according to the type of product (OEMs), and define the priority actions to be carried out in the short, medium and long term with the PSSO, PSSR and project manager.
  • Estimate market shares for OEMs and assigned customers and update them based on information gathered in the field.
  • Propose a pricing strategy for OEMs and assigned customers.

 

2. Commercial support 

  • Define (with the help of OEMs) and deploy sales support tools to PSSRs, PSSOs & PMs
  • Exploit the monthly results ("Parts Operational Report" SAP/BW) with the Countries, PSSR & PM to identify the gaps (vs. Objectives) and build the corrective actions to be implemented by the local entities and ESB.
  • Identify good practices and implement them on all Bia Africa territories.
  • Accompany the PSSRs and PM in their client visits, to help develop skills and provide technical support "application".
  • Give support to Contract Management team, PSSO and PSSR for Parts Agreements or spot offers.
  • Identify the necessary means (tools, training, human resources, marketing/commercial actions, etc.) to effectively implement these priority actions.
  • Participate in the preparation of the budget and forecast (parts sales objectives) by contributing to the definition of global objectives countries, by OEM associated with the development axes to be built with each OEM.

 

3. OEM relations

  • Prepare and facilitate (in collaboration with the Procurement/SC team) monthly, quarterly, annual meetings with OEMs.
  • Identify and negotiate with OEMs the support needed to help local teams develop parts sales.
  • Develop commercial product expertise to become a relay point of expertise for local teams.
  • Feed back key market information (products, prices, service levels, ...) to develop the necessary improvement actions

Who are we looking for?

 

  • High level of education in commercial or technical field (Commercial or industrial engineer)
  • 3 years of Technico commercial experience
  • Knowledge of OEM or similar OEM is an asset
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Passion for the industrial sector, experience in an international environment is an asset
  • Solid sales, analytic and synthesis skills
  • Results driven and good time management
  • Team player with an entrepreneur mind
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Willing to travel to Africa (30% yearly)
